Immobilization of Pb in Contaminated Soils with the Combination Use of Diammonium Phosphate with Organic and Inorganic Amendments

The intensive use of lead (Pb)-based insecticides (lead arsenate, PbHAsO4) has led to Pb accumulation in agricultural soil, endangering human health through the possibility transferring it food chain. aim this study was evaluate potential for immobilization soil by applying organic (sludge, biocompost, yard compost, and peat) inorganic (bonemeal, zeolite, lime, wood ash) amendments, combination with diammonium phosphate (DAP) a greenhouse experiment. Two amendment rates were used: low high, three DAP: 0 (zero), (0.25 g DAP/kg soil), high (1.25 soil). results showed that dry yield carrot (Daucus carota susp. sativus) highest amendments rate DAP. also increased yield. Applications bonemeal, ash yielded lowest tissue concentration (TC), peat had TC. Inorganic bonemeal combined DAP most effectively immobilized soil.
